I frequently give talks. The occasions include industrial conferences like the ALM Days, in-house company presentations, academic conferences, and meetings of organizations like the Gesellschaft für Informatik.
I am a developer of the open-source analysis toolkit ConQAT.
I am an active member of the clone research community and one of the world's leading experts for detecting redundant code fragments. I help organizing the International Workshop on Software Clones.
I am the author of the incremental clone detection tool iClones and the clone evolution visualization tool cyclone. I am one of the initiators of the corresponding website softwareclones.org.
I am a reviewer for academic publications. Among others the International Workshop on Software Clones (IWSC), the International Conference on Software Maintenance (ICSM), the European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR), the journal Science of Computer Programming (SCP), and the Journal of Software: Evolution and Process (JSEP).
